hey nice saved me lots of money cause the fish i have poop alot and it? leaves my room stinking so instead of buying refil cartriges every month for like 6 bucks i can buy some carbon for 5 bucks and save like 120bucks a year

you can reactivate activated charcoal, Soak in strong NaOH solution. Rinse well with water. Place in cast iron? pan and heat on HIGH for about 30 min. Let cool and use.

In my opinion I think that Aqua-Tech filter is CRAPPY!!!! I got the 10 gallon deluxe aquarium kit from walmart as a gift from my grand parents. It came with the same 10 gallon? filter. And then the power went out were I live, and the whole things just broke. it' didn't pump the water good. So I got the Aqueon 10 gallon filter. It's much better!! It pumps more water, it really keeps the water clean, the filter pads last longer, and aerates the water a lot more better!

Probably not a good idea. There is not much room inside the filter box and it would probably disrupt the? water flow. You won't know for certain until you try it, howver :-)
