Some narration would be helpful, or at least show more details of what you're doing. For example, are you dropping the piece into? water every time you anneal it? And like some other comments, the liquid you put on the scraps before you melted them isn't at all clear.

@Digadogup? Borax is mainly used to prevent firescale. It acts as an insulator and prevents the metal from cooling too quickly

Nice video, very creative. I am curious why you don't use an alcohol/boric acid firecoat. Not so much just for this project but in general. Any advantage to just using water? Thanks ?
