What really happened was that the chick was chasing him with a knife trying to kill him by stabbing down the door which he locked himself into to hide from her all because he didn't get her a valentines gift, what really sickens me is that if it was the guy who had the knife, he would have been locked up for attempted murder but if it's the girl, she gets a mandatory dinner. That's too black and white a view, there are a? number of things that could be considered choking, from a quick neck grab/push, all the way to strangling someone to death. You have no idea how serious the "choking" was or wasn't and shouldn't immediately dismiss the punishment of the judge who heard ALL the facts.
