how much of u have sold their cars which eat around 14-20 litres on 100 km, and bought an economical car which eats just 6-8 litres? how much of u have it changed, to be not further part of this damm oil-buisness, after this "spill"-accident.... oh? cool we boycott BP, but still go on with the fat car, or what?? my record was driving my VW_combi with just 5,7 litres, i feeled happy, believe it! OMG - It's like substituting oil for air for humans. WOULD WE DIE???? OF COURSE. Stop buying oil? - work from home if possible, bike, ride share, use solar, stop buying garbage items that require energy to build and landfill to house, etc. Eachh and every change brings us closer to a solution.

Not only the ocean but this will highly affect the atmosphere too. killing all the alge and fish in the gulf that release oxygen. billions of? gallons of poisonous gases and vapors being released in the air. you can smell it in Florida already. if you were on Louisiana's beach it would be burning your eyes. thats how bad it is.

So true. Was curious about BP's revenue and profits so I searched their website and found a pdf for their 2007-09 annual report. BP profits for 2009 (after tax and all expenses) = 13.955 billion USD, 2008 profits = 25.593 billion USD, 2007 profts =? 18.370 billion USD. They could spare some more money to fund the cleanup.
