Over-fishing by the shrimpers is partly responsible for this phenomenon. When you add up all of the variables, you see what happens to them. The over-fishing was yet another nail in the coffin. The environmentalists were also partly responsible for the protection of the turtle and? the need for modification. Back in Houston, I recall them talking about this and how it would hurt them. Then, they started talking about the Vietnamese coming in and taking over for less wages.

The petrochemical companies are surely the madams in this arena. The whores are in Washington, Democrats, Republicans, Libetarians, Independents, etc. Until this is fixed in Congress, special interest groups will dominate and corrupt our system. Lobbyists are needed, but the lack of transparency has made matters even worse. Is Campaign finance reform an oxymoron? I don't know. Are we the Johns in this?? If so, I would prefer a higher priced call girl than the hookers we have in Congress.
