Yes, I'm aware of sorghum, and it does need fertilizer because it's not a nitrogen fixing plant. It uses less water, but not "no water". However it's grain yield is directly tied to how much water you pump into it. While it's great for food purposes trying to make it into fuel is rather foolish. "Twice as good as corn"? well thats nice, but corn yields little to no benefits. So thats not saying much.

Tectane's ethanol is extracted from an amazing? plant called sweet sorghum - it doesn't need fertilizer,pesticide nor irrigated water - and ready for harvest in 4 months. Whose tax dollar are you talking about? The U.N. Global Environment Facility will provide grant to a developing country cultivating it.

If we were to synthetically create "biofuels" using waste carbon and electrity created hydrogen, we'd need 250% additional the current US electricity production. And thats not acceptable. greyfalcon. net/ h2car _ The other catch is that I'd like to see reductions in Greenhouse gases. BioFuels do a lot which makes greenhouse emmisions worse. On? a whole we'd be better off from a greenhouse perspective if we didn't do them at all.

Actually you have me wrong. I'm anti-biofuel. And the reason for that is that I'm pro-efficiency. I see, you're not anti-poor, only anti-ethanol. For your info, the ethanol is not to make you an alcoholic. AQUAHOL - the mixture of 80% ethanol 20% water - address the problem of improper combustion. "Oxygen helps complete the burn? H20 has 89 oxygen by molecular weight.

Sounds like EGR or a DPF. Both are conventional technology. An EGR doesn't really replace a catalytic converter though. ==80% AQUAHOL which? is 8x more efficient that 10% gasohol== Yes, theres 8x more ethanol in it.

Or more specifically, we should be changing our cars, not our fuels. Diesel engines, Electric engines, HCCI engines, Hybrid Engines, etc. The efficient car engines? just happens to use those fuels. But it's the engines which are important, not the fuels.
