When I 1st started playing rock guitar? in a band (early teens in the mid 70's), I would psych myself up before practice by cranking this tune up - especially the wah solo (which is perfectly over the top). I don't know why this tune didn't get more attention. I used to want to own a radio station so i could play songs like this and turn everybody on to what they were missing.

Yes, If liste o the similarities between the hook lick in Carry On and the chorus and lead on Second Hand, you can? see their very close bar the key change. I knew all along Carry On was Kansas, my point I guess without spelling it out was Carry On was released second and was popular, Second Hand, even to most BTO listeners was hardley known. ??? Why???? It deserves it's time in the sun. I'm presently recording a remake of it to bring it into the light. The wah solo on theirs is still the best.

this song IMPO was theirbest, it came out B4 Carry on my wayward son and the wah solo is one of the best ever recorded. I am a big man and even as a kid, I used to dream of being able to rock on stages like them and have that giant? sound. TY for posting the baddest BTO EVER!!!!
