It's hilarious how many amateurs out there are so quick to not only see "conspiracy" in everything, but also to? think that they somehow have seen through it and know more than people who have spent years professionally and academically studying highly involved and complex fields like Climatology, Geology, Physics and Biology. It's a vicious cycle: ignorant people, because of their ignorance OF a subject, have no standard by which to realize the ignorance of their positions ON that subject.

This subject is much like religious creationism. People WANT to believe that this is all a hoax, so that they can go? on their merry way and do as they please with no worries. Because of this desire, they will grab onto any junk science or conspiracy theory that allows them to ignore the facts and believe what they wish. No amount of logic will penetrate the fact-proof bubble in which they live. We can only hope that there are enough rationalists in the world to defeat the intentionally ignorant.

Alright, this is actual science. Trick = good. Only certain data points used( not tree rings)=good science. Global warming=carbon tax=good for the planet. Hell, we? should implant breathe counters on everyone and tax their own hot air.

You mean like the "radical analysis" that led up? to the horrors inflicted by Lenin and Stalin. I agree Socialism up to the extent of welfare and food hand outs and decent housing to the poor, and I do find it abhorrent that people like Brittany Spears can earn more money in a month then I can in a lifetime, but accusing people (and science) of being part of a conspiracy is pathetic at best. Science doesn't work for the "Bourgeoisie", or anybody else.

Okay, listen. I am basically the epitome of Proletariat. I am 18 years old, live alone in a bedsit in the middle of Manchester, my parents split up when I was young, and get £51 a week. However,? while I do think that the Government and "Bourgeoisie" get the monopoly on a few things, I think that you are somebody who is incredibly bitter because they didn't get their lot in life, and so takes it out on the rich. I mean, we rely on these people to give us the facts, and nothing but the facts, and let us form our own opinions. Fortunately,I live in England, so I don't have to put up with Fox. =Let's start with Richard Lindzen of MIT = I have covered Lindzen's Iris theory and cloud theories extensively, starting in 'Climate Change-- the Objections.' I have also explained the hypotheses? of Friis-Christensen and Svensmark, and explained why other scientists don't accept these hypotheses. If I have made any mistakes by misrepresenting anyone, please let me know and I will correct the error.

- I think you are refering to a list of papers published in the 1960s and 70s that predicted either a warming or a cooling Earth. If you can find any of the latter group who now insist they were right I would be very surprised. However, if you can find one, please let me know. ?

My statement was about the etymology of use of the phrase. "fat" has many definitions stupid, foolish, productive, substantial and impressive, well stocked,well filled, plump, and obese. Only these last two actually deal with a persons weight. The rest of them could still be used to describe a mouth that continues to produce and never closes. Just because it uses the word "fat" does not mean it is "fattest" Just like niggardly contains a racist word, but is not? racist.
