The cosoles are not to blame, as clearly stated its PC piracy that? forced Crytek to consoles, Crytek is a business, they need to make money to survive. All you PC elitest snobs are to blame, you treat companys who are PC innovatives as sellouts when they are forced by your careless actions, even CDProjekt had to release Witcher2 to the 360 because they only sold 1 million copies on PC, 4million copies were pirated. Publishing a game via traditional means is a very expensive and risky endeavor. The needed expenditures for global advertising, distribution, logistics, legal work and DVD printing is simply far to hefty for (most) game studios to lift by? themself. Plus, a publisher won't get financially obliterated if a product flops, a game studio would(in most cases).

Really great what you guys are doing with the series, I was just wondering, you state and overstate that? crysis has made the console jump because of everyong pirating crysis.. but I only first touched a crytek game on my old original xbox, farcry instincts. and what about instincts: predator and instincs evolution? pirates the cause of the cross platform? not so much.

3:50 couple of things to point out. Everyone who pirates a game would buy the game if they were unable to steal it. Crysis sold over 3 million copies, if it had been on console (as? cevat says 4 to 5 times more sales) crysis would have sold 12-15 million copies. These are facts, I believe crytek was in the right going multiplatform, hell, Crysis 2 broke industry records by selling 2.58 million copies across all 3 platforms. Crytek = "Maximum Retard".
