@derman077I have to admit, I am not as smart as I pretend to be. I have not experimented making? holes on the pockets, before your comments I never even considered it. Do you really think the pockets will get full of air and not let new winds get in? I am trying to make sense of your suggestion... in my mind.

The? laws of physics at play are tricky. Have you seen the separated bubble science from auto technology? The pocket catches its fill of air and the rest skips over it. To get maximum efficiency it should skip past and not be trapped. Still, even with pockets your system is very strong. Also very well built. You guys are good. Fiberglass, wow, I thought it was stretched canvas. Off grid or grid tied?

Thank you? for your comments, The pockets are there to catch the wind, Not an off the grid system...we are working on it.

Hello, great design. I wonder though. the horizontal parts on top and bottom, would efficiency increase if there were relief holes in them? I've read that when designing these things,we? want to avoid pockets. Keep up the good work. Those things look awesome. Is it an off grid system?

@jota4u I have 8 batteries connected to two of them, 12volts @125 Amps each.? They never get discharged.

Thank you, and yes you are right about? the rotation.

Well thank you, I am truly? grateful for your kind words.

The music matches the graceful movements of the wind turbine. I like to see this video everyday. And I will not be able to rest? until I build one like this and dance alongside.

This is so great. Thanks for sharing. I have been making my own VAWTs at home as well,i've got a video. I too reject the idea that renewable energy has to expensive.? You have really made the most of the space up there. I like they way they spin opposite ways to each other which makes the most of the wind(although the left one travels with it's neighbour, is this to test which way works best?).Did you consdider that a slightly lopsided curve(aerofoil) can increase the output of a savonius design?

This is the most practical? DIY design for roof mounting that I have seen. Congratulations Arturo.

Congratulations Arturo !!! You have the? best design in the world

Thank you, they were built with local? materials, not much out of pocket. Permanent magnet generators. Connected with diodes to one battery bank.

? The fabric is flat, it takes the shape when you stretch it on to the curved pipes. There is no more to this that you see, I don't have a hidden shape for the fabric. When the fabric goes over the pipes it takes the shape then you trim off the excess. By the way it is fiberglass fabric then it gets covered with resin.

They? are hooked up to 16 batteries 12volts @110 amps each the batteries are always charged. the power depends on the wind.
By: jota4u. on 29 Jul 10, 09:39:05
How much power does this system provide? And how many batteries is it hooked up to? How long does it take to charge the batteries? Thanks, for the answers my friend.?
By: arturomoises64. on 05 Jun 10, 14:14:15
How much? It is made with local materials, each is made with an old car rear differential a 2" pipe, two pieces of 1"? pipe and fiberglass over any type of fabric you want to use. The generators are 4 PMA, one on each. They charge one bank of batteries and they run one UPS.
By: YoLninYo. on 05 Jun 10, 12:53:26
excellent! please publish plans or at least the shape of the fabric when flattened.? cheers!
By: soluvision. on 22 May 10, 05:20:33
another question,? how much power do you get with this?
By: soluvision. on 22 May 10, 05:18:09
Hey my friend cibaeņo, how much does it cost to build one of those? and how do you get? connected that array of individual power generators? do you use any special generator (PMA, or other?) Looks great!
By: CaptBart. on 16 May 10, 14:23:03
Looking forward to those! Gracias!?
By: arturomoises64. on 15 May 10, 16:02:57
Thank? you!
By: arturomoises64. on 15 May 10, 16:02:02
They are each connected to individual generators,? I'll get y6ou pidtures.
By: CaptBart. on 15 May 10, 15:26:38
What are these connected to, I'd like? to see below. Great job!
