@MrOTLChamp Unfortunately for you, you have no idea what Socialism. There are billions of true socialists who would disagree with you and say that capitalism is selfish and lazy and wants everything for free. The argument on capitalism vs socialism is NOT settled, there is NO unbiased? scientific peer-reviewed proof which says which is better, so socialists have as much right as capitalists to make laws in their favor. Government should not stop the poor from killing the rich.

You're not even old enough to have witnessed true Capitalism, because Capitalism has not been practiced in America, since the 1930's. And yes, Socialism is very selfish. If Socialism isn't selfish...Then why does the government take from those which have earned, and give some of it to those that have not? How about an honor system in? which people can decide for themselves if they want to give to the unwilling to work?

Whatever money honest capitalists (if such a thing exists) really did earn on their own initially, they then use to force laws and austerity on everybody else, stealing the poor's money, and don't want to? pay for all the costs they force (pollution, torture of animals in factory farms).
