Don't forget the effect of governments attempts at weather manipulation (meddling) by spraying chemicals into the air. I remember reading about how the chinese were spraying chemicals (silver iodide?) into clouds to make it rain. Think it is called "cloud seeding", of course that rain may have been destined for a different area but that was denied by government medling and that lack of rain in the other? area could have knock on effects to other areas...

Its because "global warming" as a buzz word isn't flexible enough. If for example the temperature started declining it would make all the cultists look like utter liars so it had to be transformed into "climate change". "Most scientists engaged in climate research are convinced it is happening". Who are "most"; are they necessarily the best scientists? No, but governments aren't going to? fund scientists to disprove the new religion, so to get paid you have to get with the program.

As temperatures warm decade on decade the CU Sea Level Research Group (CUSLRG, 2011) estimated the rate of GMSL between 1993 and 2011.The rate was estimated at 3.2 mm per? year. This is faster than the average for the 20th Century as a whole which was an average rate of 1.8 mm/yr? i.e. sea level rise has accelerated this century.
