If school science instruction is no better then Time magazine, the modern AGW cult is no better. Are you familiar w/ Lysenko, are you familiar w/ Keynesian vs. Hayekian economics? It precisely my experience of being propadganized about "Global Cooling" in the 70s which cured of falling the reverse con job. Evenyone was clamouring for Keyensian economics in the 30s 40s. I know we had a late Spring here an? early fall. This was following an unusually severe winter. I know from my garden how bad the weather was this summer. @greenman3610 CO 2 is not a significant driver of climate, the Earth has had in it recent past periods warmer with less CO 2 in the air, and periods of dramatic cold with as much as 16 times as? much CO 2 as we have now. Sorry I know it is a religion, but it's just not true.

@yukoncornileus4 the most likely explanation is that increased particulate matter from industrialization, a period of active volcanic eruptions, and natural cycles, combined? to slow warming down. 50 years ago, CO2 was less of a driver than it is now, and even more likely to be lost in the chaos of variability. when the clean air act went into effect in the US, damping particulate emissions, which block the sun, warming took off.

This lie gets boring. When its hot its obvious global warming, when its dry, it is also? global warming, when its cold it is also global warming, when it snows or rain it is global warming. OK alarmists, lets turn off all the coal power stations, lets also shut down all refineries and switch off all nuclear power stations and lets all go happily back to our caves - maybe it is not such a bad idea, seeing that the US can't pay back its debt.
