The thing I don't understand about AGW climate talking heads/scientists is 1. They are mostly? socialists with interesting visions of the need for capitalism to end. 2. Absolutely exaggerate everything. No comment 3. Even if the AGW is real their ideas to "stop the climate" change are so unrealistic and ineffective that it casts a horrid shadow on their twisted logic. I just can't seem to even remotely start liking anyone connected to the funny AGW moment. Pathetic Monckton is more likeable.

Now StAverti is agreeing w/Jim Hansen's boiling oceans alarmism claims "it? is VERY MUCH a REAL possibility" that the OCEANS on earth will BOIL due to a runaway gh effect. He calls names, drops F-bombs, talks about Venus but hasn't explained how sea surface temps will rise 60°C higher than has EVER been recorded in order to reach 100°C boil the oceans away. Maybe he IS rob, under a new persona. Hahahaha

"Looks like rob and greenman ran away,? ROO2" Yep, stumped by our science questions. Have you seen StAverti, allegedly a climate scientist, over at the Ben Santer crock? He's making wild false claims like "ALL the variables[climate] are COMPLETELY understood" "No climate scientists has EVER suggested a single day, a single? event, or even a single year of weather extremes is "proof" of human induced global warming". I showed him evidence that both were false but he refuses to admit he was wrong

Looks like rob and greenman ran? away, ROO2.

Hey, ROO2, Ludecke et al last? year found almost the same thing BEST did. 2249 ground stations with a record back to 1906-2005 were compiled, and they found that ~25% or so actually cooled over that 100 years. They found an average warming of .58C over the whole dataset, and .41C for those under 100ft altitude and outside large cities. Not exactly remarkable over a century.

"loading the dice"(3) HIGH temp records: world:1922; North Hemis:1922; SH:1960; EH:1922; WH:1913; NA:1913; SA:1905; Europe:1977; Asia:1942; Africa:1922; Australia:1960; Oceania:1912; Antarctica:1974 Rainfall records: 1min:1956; 1hour:1947; 12hour:1966; 24hour:1966; 48hours:1958; 12months:1861 Most? intense trop cyclone max sust wind speed:1961 WOW, climate WAS extreme before the ghg-driven CAGW of recent decades! BEST DID find that ~1/3 of records cooled. GW ISN'T recent OR global! wmo asu edu

"loading the dice"(2) 1 usa gov/HxjlPY 1897- "At Lansing, it was the third straight day with HIGHS of 100 degrees, unprecedented in the record books" 1911- "Michigan's HOTTEST Independence Day on record" 1966- "HIGH of 99° set a daily record at Lansing" 1972- "37° at Lansing was the COLDEST July reading of the 20th century" 2009- "COOLEST July in Grand Rapids history" Getting cooler?? Guess there are TWO SETS of "loaded" climate dice? One w/MORE dots one w/FEWER dots! Who decides which to use?
By: RealOldOne2. on 30 Mar 12, 15:37:14
"This is us "loading the dice" or "painting more dots on the dice" where we start rolling? 14's and 15's" NOT! 1936-Record # of consecutive 100°F+ days in Iowa. bit ly/H6Om9b 1936-4 of Springfield, IL's 10 hottest days EVER. bit ly/GZX5vn 1934-The hottest May on record. 1 usa gov/HpMURv Guess they were "painting? more dots" on the climate dice back in the Great Depression too? Was it a gov't make-work program then too? The "hot extreme CAGW" meme is bogus. Says NOTHING about anthropogenic CAUSE!
By: RealOldOne2. on 30 Mar 12, 15:14:33
"empirical evidence that anthropogenic ghg's are the culprit in late 20th century warming" Yes, THAT is something the CAGW crowd has FAILED to find. Rob's recent "more extreme hot weather" meme proves NOTHING about AGW CAUSATION. Proof? bit ly/H6Om9b Record consecutive 100+ degree days? in Iowa. But wait, that was in 1936! just in case rob doesn't like that source: 1 usa gov/HpMURv "May 1934: the hottest May on record"! How can those hot records happen BEFORE human ghg's CAUSED warming? Hahaha.

"Guess it was my turn to have this experience with him, huh, ROO2?" Yep, but at you were spared the 100+ dodges, obfuscation, strawmen red herrings. Now he's admitting his error by shutting? up. I'll give him an atta-boy on his improvement in behavior. Atta-boy rob!
By: smartalek65. on 30 Mar 12, 14:11:06
Hey, ROO2, notice greenman's return is? only to mischaracterize and commit ad homs. He even fails to answer the reference to Gleick-and that's after his lowlife hatchet job on HI's COO, Mr. Bast on his climatecrocks site. He refuses to admit his own errors.
By: smartalek65. on 30 Mar 12, 02:58:54
And let me know when they? find empirical evidence that anthropogenic ghg's are the culprit in late 20th century warming. They haven't yet.
By: greenman3610. on 29 Mar 12, 23:44:08
right.? climate gate. the great white WMD of denialism. Let me know when they find something on that, ..oh, and let me know when they find those weapons in Iraq, too.
By: smartalek65. on 29 Mar 12, 19:51:04
In that case, you should assail the the character of your pals, Mann, Santer, Jones, Schmidt, Hansen, and especially Gleick.? They've done plenty of THAT. Of course, you'll defend and praise them, simply because they agree with you-puts the lie to your last entry.
By: greenman3610. on 29 Mar 12, 19:26:25
I assail the character not of those who disagree, but? of those who lie and dissemble.
By: smartalek65. on 29 Mar 12, 15:27:26
Greenman, the fact that you have to personally assail the character of those who disagree just shows how far lost is the case for CAGW. Facts point to the minor anthropogenic role in climate, and no? amount of false accusation, PR character assaults, or hysteria will cancel that.
By: greenman3610. on 29 Mar 12, 14:52:22
the tobacco trials released voluminous evidence from within the tobacco companies as to how they were working with professional PR agencies to subvert and muddy science. There is also clear evidence that the very same agencies and people went on? to employ the same template for new clients, the fossil fuel industry. Your ignorance is very largely a result of their successful brainwashing.
By: smartalek65. on 29 Mar 12, 14:14:09
I honestly? doubt rob's going to answer, as he hasn't in the last few days. Guess it was my turn to have this experience with him, huh, ROO2?
By: RealOldOne2. on 28 Mar 12, 17:50:39
"I? repeat my challenge from yesterday, rob. Answer the bell or withdraw your accusation." Rob's silence seems to indicate that he's? thrown in the towel. In my interactions w/him, I've found that he's good at making allegations that he can't back up w/facts data.

I repeat my challenge from yesterday, rob. Answer the bell or withdraw your? accusation.

@robhoneycutt "Read 'Merchants of Doubt." Been there. That's a oversized political op-ed disguised as a "history." The authors, Naomi Oreskes and Erik Conway, do a remarkably? poor job of reciting the issues discussed; anyone who even dares to question left-wing dogma is thoroughly demonized; and presents a series of extremely thin conspiracy theories as factual. Why don't you simply try putting your evidence against Idso out here?
By: robhoneycutt. on 26 Mar 12, 00:25:24
Go read Merchants of Doubt.?
By: RealOldOne2. on 25 Mar 12, 21:21:09
"Actually, I can still see it on my mobile" Thanks. That's interesting. I don't see rob's comments? of yesterday or today at all unless I click "see all", and then they show up flagged as spam. When his comments show up flagged as spam, I don't get email notifications that he replied to me either. The only clues I have that he posted is that the # of comments does go up there aren't as many comments on the opening page of comments. It's a puzzler.
By: smartalek65. on 25 Mar 12, 19:46:02
@RealOldOne2 Actually, I can still see it on my mobile. I gave him a target to shoot at, all he has to do? is fulfill the 3 items I gave him. I also think my offer (to just admit he's wrong and move on) was reasonable. He admits he can't prove his allegation of Idso being bought off, I won't say a word-provided he he never accuses another skeptic of the same.
