Thats because the last mass extinction drastically effected primitive life with higher temperature rises, but now smaller changes kill of basic organisms? and screw up the climate which has a larger effect not only on other animals but the billions of humans who live in poverty, and rely on ideal seasonal rains to grow food. So it will take a shorter amount of time to affect us.

at 2:44 Hank says in the last hundred years the average temperature of the earth went up a degree and a half.? But geologically that's a really small amount of time. In his recent mass extinctions video, he was talking about an event that was 450 million years ago, taking place over about ten thousand years. It just seems like the scale is off. Need more context

Just out of curiosity, what does this have to do with climate change. Those ships produce? more sulfur emissions than cars, and I agree they should be cleaned up, but sulfides aren't generally greenhouse gasses. They'll likely cause acid rain, but that's another matter. For the purposes of climate change, it's apples and oranges. I don't know what nosa cares about, but from my perspective, it's continued prosperity in a sustainable economy.
